About this directory
GreenhouseWeddingVenues.com is an independent directory of 548 greenhouse, glasshouse, and conservatory wedding venues across 50 US states — the glass houses where couples actually get married. Victorian conservatories and modern glasshouses, botanical-garden palm houses and glass atriums, orangeries and arboretums, and the climate-controlled greenhouse spaces built for events: tour-able, bookable, with the details that matter gathered in one place.
It's built for couples planning a wedding under glass (and the planners and parents helping them): the couple comparing three glasshouses a weekend drive apart, the one who needs to know whether 130 guests will really fit beneath the panes, the planner checking whether outside caterers are allowed before recommending a venue. Almost everyone asks the same first question — is it heated and air-conditioned? A glass house bakes on a July afternoon and freezes in January without climate control, so we put that answer front and center, right alongside the rest: how many guests? what does it cost? is it green and warm enough for a winter wedding while everything's bare outside? is there a bridal suite? can the wedding party stay on-site? all-inclusive or bring-your-own-vendors?
How we verify every listing — the glass-structure check. This is a directory of glass, not of ballrooms with a potted palm, so every venue has to earn its place. Before we list one, we confirm from the evidence that it is a genuine glass or greenhouse structure that actually hosts weddings — a real greenhouse, glasshouse, conservatory, glass atrium, orangery, palm house, or a botanical garden's glass conservatory. We read the venue's own website (how it describes its space and what it hosts) and cross-check that against couples' public reviews (what the day was really like under the glass). A hotel ballroom, a plain banquet hall, or an outdoor-only garden with no glass structure doesn't make the cut — even when a map app files it under "wedding venue." Generic ballrooms and open-air garden sites are excluded by design.
That same two-source evidence — the venue's own words plus couples' reviews — backs everything else we badge. When a listing is marked climate-controlled, the venue described heating and air-conditioning or a couple mentioned staying comfortable in the summer heat. When it's marked glass ceiling, abundant natural light, winter-ready, on-site lodging, all-inclusive, or outside catering OK, the proof came from those same two places, often with the reviewer's own quote attached. Badges require evidence, not self-reporting — which also means the counts are floors, and they grow as our crawls continue.
Listings are compiled from public map and business data, then put through the glass-structure check above; we re-crawl the dataset on a rolling basis to catch closures and new openings. Our "best of" rankings are computed from Google ratings weighted by review volume — no venue can pay for a placement, a rank, or inclusion. Every venue page links to the venue's own website when it has one, and any capacity or price we show is always the venue's own stated number or a figure couples mentioned in reviews — presented as approximate, and always worth confirming on your tour.
If you own a venue and want a correction — hours, address, capacity, pricing, amenities, or a listing that shouldn't be here — email hello@greenhouseweddingvenues.com and we'll fix it in the next refresh.
