From the reviews
Our wedding day was a dream come true and we could not be more grateful to everyone that helped us make this day into a reality. Margaret O'Donnell is the wedding & event specialist at The Friendship Botanic Gardens and she was AMAZING to work with.
I visited in late summer and it was very buggy-the kind that seemed to form a thick, buzzy, cloud around your head, but that's not why it lost a star. I d3ducted a star because I was expecting more flowers and pieces of interest.
I photographed Ben and Rachel’s wedding in June 2025. Everyone was so wonderful, the gardens were so pretty, and we had a wonderful guide who took us to great places for post ceremony photos. I would definitely do another wedding here again.
ONE FINE DAY Special Events and Wedding Planning had the pleasure and extreme ease of working with Kylie and her team at Friendship Gardens for one of our amazing clients a few weeks ago. The reflecting pond at Symphony Gardens lent itself as a beautiful backdrop for our couple to say I Do!
Getting married at Friendship Botanic Gardens
Friendship Botanic Gardens comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the glass house at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — the light pouring through the panes at golden hour is the whole reason to book one, but a greenhouse at noon in July feels very different from one at dusk in October, so ask about temperature and shade for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring the questions that only matter for a glass venue: is it heated and air-conditioned (the single most important question), what months do they actually book, is there shade cloth or diffusing glass for midday glare, what's the humidity like in summer, are candles or open flame allowed near the plants, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Glass venues are intimate and popular dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Friendship Botanic Gardens
Corporate events, retreats, or private parties come up for Friendship Botanic Gardens — greenhouse venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
