From the reviews
We selected this venue for our wedding and reception in mid-July and could not have been happier. Mary was our coordinator and was great at responding to our questions, as we were not from town. The venue space is beautiful and so different from every other wedding space we have been to in recent memory.
We truly cannot recommend The Greenhouse at Bittersweet enough!! From the moment we booked our wedding until the very end of our wedding day, everything was absolutely incredible. The venue itself is stunning, and every detail is so thoughtfully designed.
Let’s start with level of customer service we received. It was unprecedented. Not a single employee there that didn’t know everything about the party, there was no passing the buck or “I’ll have to check with the manager” they were constantly around to help, asked to pitch in and had a portion of the venue set up…
This venue was incredible! There are so many positives it is hard to remember them all. The styled appearance was so great we had to do very little to add to decorations. We got such service every step of the way it helped the wedding feel so well executed. They provide a day of coordinator which not many venues do.
Getting married at The Greenhouse at Bittersweet
The Greenhouse at Bittersweet comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the glass house at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — the light pouring through the panes at golden hour is the whole reason to book one, but a greenhouse at noon in July feels very different from one at dusk in October, so ask about temperature and shade for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring the questions that only matter for a glass venue: is it heated and air-conditioned (the single most important question), what months do they actually book, is there shade cloth or diffusing glass for midday glare, what's the humidity like in summer, are candles or open flame allowed near the plants, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Glass venues are intimate and popular dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
