From the reviews
My daughter had her wedding here recently. Everyone had the absolute best time! The 5 course meal was fantastic. Every plate was a work of art. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The bar was set up outside under a beautiful tree and lawn games were scattered about.
I was fortunate and blessed to photograph a wedding at The Herb Lyceum, and found the entire experience to be magnificent. We were blessed with rain during the ceremony -- that was intended to be in the garden -- and the venue handled the change effortlessly.
I can't say enough good things about this place. We had an 85 person wedding here in June and it was beyond beautiful. The grounds are so well kept and stunning. The FOOD...incredible. Our guests are still raving about the chicken slider passed apps and our dinner selection.
We had our wedding at the Herb Lyceum last year! It was a beautiful venue the food was wonderful and the garden was beautiful. The staff were also kind and very welcoming to us and our guests.
Getting married at The Herb Lyceum at Gilson's
The Herb Lyceum at Gilson's comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the glass house at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — the light pouring through the panes at golden hour is the whole reason to book one, but a greenhouse at noon in July feels very different from one at dusk in October, so ask about temperature and shade for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring the questions that only matter for a glass venue: is it heated and air-conditioned (the single most important question), what months do they actually book, is there shade cloth or diffusing glass for midday glare, what's the humidity like in summer, are candles or open flame allowed near the plants, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Glass venues are intimate and popular dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
