From the reviews
Our wedding was at the Fairmount Horticultural Center in October. The day was absolutely magical! Every single detail came together in a way that absolutely exceeded every expectation that I ever had for my wedding! It was just perfect in every way.
This is one of the most beautiful spots in Philadelphia. It’s like stepping into another world especially to get a fix of nature for city dwellers. It makes for unique engagement and wedding photos too!
well, this is definitely in my short list of places to photograph a wedding in philadelphia. i found what looked like a small maple tree out front and turned it into one of my all time favorite photo locations! ig @iamthesam
The Fairmount Park Horticulture Center is an absolutely incredible space in Philly! There are so many places for photographs both inside and out. The grounds outside are stunning and very well kept even in winter. You will freak out over the dreamy indoor ceremony space.
Getting married at Fairmount Park Horticulture Center
Fairmount Park Horticulture Center comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the glass house at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — the light pouring through the panes at golden hour is the whole reason to book one, but a greenhouse at noon in July feels very different from one at dusk in October, so ask about temperature and shade for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring the questions that only matter for a glass venue: is it heated and air-conditioned (the single most important question), what months do they actually book, is there shade cloth or diffusing glass for midday glare, what's the humidity like in summer, are candles or open flame allowed near the plants, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Glass venues are intimate and popular dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Fairmount Park Horticulture Center
Corporate events, retreats, or private parties come up for Fairmount Park Horticulture Center — greenhouse venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
